Resumen
El presente volumen constituye un compendio de artículos que abordan diversos aspectos relacionados con los artistas y el arte del Antiguo Egipto durante el Reino Nuevo. La obra tiene como objetivo principal poner en valor el papel de estos creadores, otorgándoles voz a través del análisis de las distintas escenas y manifestaciones artísticas egipcias.
Este libro reúne investigaciones recientes realizadas por varios especialistas que han abordado el arte egipcio desde perspectivas innovadoras, cuestionando enfoques tradicionales y ofreciendo nuevas lecturas sobre la función y el significado de las obras. En particular, los estudios incluidos destacan el papel de los artistas como mediadores en la transmisión de técnicas e iconografía, al mismo tiempo que subrayan su capacidad de creatividad, innovación y adaptación frente a los encargos y tradiciones establecidas.
La intención de este volumen es, por tanto, reconocer y reivindicar la importancia de los artistas del Antiguo Egipto, no solo como ejecutores de un canon estético, sino como agentes activos en la producción cultural, capaces de transformar y enriquecer la tradición artística de su tiempo. De este modo, los ensayos aquí reunidos ofrecen una visión más matizada y humanizada de quienes hicieron posible la riqueza visual y simbólica del arte del Reino Nuevo.
